So who is A Stitch Too Far

A Stitch Too Far started with one simple thing—an obsession. Since I could talk, I’ve been fascinated by everything World War II. The people, the machines, the stories, and the moments that shaped history. It’s never just been an interest—it’s something that’s always stuck with me. This shop is my way of bringing that passion to life.

Every design you see is inspired by real events, real vehicles, and real people. Some are bold, some are subtle, and some carry a bit of sarcasm—but all of them are rooted in history. It’s not just about making something that looks good, it’s about creating something that actually means something.

This isn’t just about clothing. It’s about remembering those who served and making sure their stories aren’t forgotten. With several family members having served in the forces, this is personal. My grandad served with the King’s Own Royal Regiment (Lancaster), and I know he’d be proud to see something like this. That’s why giving back matters. During key periods like Remembrance, contributions from sales will go toward supporting the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, helping veterans, serving personnel, and their families.

A Stitch Too Far also goes beyond the store. Across social media, I share key moments from WW2 history, weekly “what happened this week” posts, and dates for air shows and events worth knowing about. It’s all about keeping history alive in a way that’s simple, engaging, and worth coming back for.

Disclaimer.

A Stitch Too Far is an independent brand creating original WWII-inspired artwork, apparel, and parody-style designs for history enthusiasts.

Our designs are created as artistic tributes, humorous interpretations, and creative nods to historical events, figures, machines, and military culture. They are not officially affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any historical individuals, organisations, museums, armed forces, or estates mentioned or depicted.

We do not promote political extremism, hatred, or the ideologies of regimes involved in WWII. Designs featuring Axis forces, vehicles, or commanders are intended purely for historical recognition, artistic storytelling, or military interest — not endorsement.

Some artwork intentionally uses humour, satire, or exaggerated parody elements alongside historical themes. No offence or disrespect is intended toward veterans, civilians, or those affected by war.

Historical inaccuracies may occasionally appear within designs created for entertainment and artistic interpretation.

Most importantly:

£1 from every sale is donated to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, helping support veterans, serving personnel, and their families while keeping their stories and sacrifices remembered.

History matters.

Humour survives.

Respect remains.

Move out.
